Motion Narratives:
Dance as a Language
Beyond Borders

An Erasmus+ international youth exchange that united 40 young people from Poland, Hungary and North Macedonia to explore contemporary dance as a bridge of cultural understanding and artistic expression.

About the Project

What Was Motion Narratives?

Motion Narratives was an Erasmus+ youth exchange held in Zwardoń, Poland in May 2025. Over nine dynamic days, 40 participants aged 15–18 explored the world of contemporary dance while forming meaningful cross-cultural connections.
The project was not just about dance – it was about communication without words, emotional expression, and celebrating diversity. Dance became a universal language uniting young people from different backgrounds to create something extraordinary together.

01

Promoting European Values

Tolerance, acceptance, and mutual respect – the values at the heart of the European Union – were the foundation of our project. Through artistic collaboration, we showed that every young person has the right to self-expression and dignity.

02

Building a European Identity

Participants celebrated the cultural richness of Europe while discovering shared ideals that unite us all.

03

Inclusion and Diversity

We ensured that young people with fewer opportunities were part of the exchange. Among participants were members of Roma communities who could feel equal and empowered within the European family.

04

 Developing Competences

The project enhanced dance, communication, social and cultural skills, preparing participants for active citizenship in a multicultural Europe.

05

Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle

Daily movement and creativity encouraged body awareness and overall wellbeing.

06

Collaborative Learning

Participants work together in a collaborative environment, building teamwork skills that extend beyond the dance floor into everyday life.
